Chapter One; In which a bug gets in my hair and I run like a girl.
I am a girl and it might not have actually been a bug, so the title of my first post is both truthful and misleading. Since truthful and misleading describes life pretty well I thought I would start the blog there. There are times when I leave my cosy home in the Duke area of Durham and venture out into nature. I don’t usually do that willingly since I’m not a huge fan of nature. I appreciate nature for its aesthetic qualities and also cause nature makes things that I like. Such as coco beans and wheat for beer. I do not appreciate bugs. Or leaves masquerading as bugs. Especially when they are on my head. Now that I have pictures of nature I won’t need to view it again soon at close range.
If you have never been to Sarah P. Duke Gardens http://www.hr.duke.edu/dukegardens/ you need to go. It is large, lovely and the slopes are gentle enough so that even someone as disinclined towards physical exertion such as myself doesn’t mind. They also have a snack bar.
